I realy think that all cubes should be scanned for viruses before they are accepted. I have been unable to use this site for about a week now because my laptop charger broke and I had to use my PC that didnt have anti virus software on it. When I was using my Laptop my anti virus software was finding loads of cubes with viruses, trojans etc. Now Im going to have to scan every cube to see what ones have viruses before I click them and this will take me a long time.

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear you're finding that some cubes have viruses etc...

I can assure you that all cubes are checked before validating, including virus scans. Unfortunately, there's nothing to stop users changing content after being approved. It could also be a rogue banner on our site OR theirs which is being supplied by one of the ad networks.

Fortunately, members are quick to report cubes which possess such threats and are automatically removed at the end of the day. This has reduced the problem by a huge percentage.

Some pieces of security software can also be more sensitive, detecting such threats that are nothing more than just an integrated flash video.

We will, however, keep an eye on it. Thanks for bringing it up.

Using Windows system is easy to get virus infections, even if you have an antivirus.
You can use a Linux system without having to install anything on your computer.
You can boot Linux from USB key, and navigate safely.
In the rare cases where something is compromised this happens only on the USB key.
Install Linux on USB key is very simple:search on google UNetbootin.
Is an opensource program that automates the installation process.
Last but not least, Linux is free forever.
You can create as many copies as you want legally.
Best systems for Linux newbies are Ubuntu and LinuxMint.
I hope to be helpful.
Bye bye.

yeah thanks for the info, i already have linux, its also great for leaving no trace on hard drive for hacking (i never hack anyone or use botnets lol) but its pretty simple to do at very least a simple scan. I could make a site that would take me less than 30 minutes and add nasty php scripts to it then come here and buy or use my cube tokens and spread the scripts for free but i'm not that kind of person.

you also get people that like to advertise sites that say random things like earn $5trillion dollars in an hour for promoting this link, then idiots really think they are gonna get paid for spreading malware.

The admin could make a simple script that collects .csv files from all the top antivirus sites then put cubes through a screening process and make a blacklist and if admin can code a site like this he could code an auto screening and blacklist system.

anyway back to the your post, thanks again for the information and im sure it will help alot of people that take the time to read it.

You'd need to contact support to find out why. It may be that it was simply a mistake or the site has changed since we first approved it.
