Over the last few weeks, we've made several changes to the site, but perhaps none as big as this! We are pleased to announce that we have a new system for selling cubes and a realtime value for a cube fund. For a long time, we have thought about creating a "Cube Fund Value". In other words, what is the current realtime value of £1 CF according to an algorithm that calculates prices and values of cubes sold over a period of time. As we post this, £1 CF (CF = cube fund) = £0.002006. The main advantage of this, is that it ensures ALL members list their cubes for a set minimum price and will therfore hopefully increase the value of a cube fund over time. The higher the price of sold cubes, the higher the value of a CF = more money for cube sellers. The value of a cube fund won't fluctuate like a share price, but over time, it will change, depending on recent cube sales etc... As always, we like to test things for a while to collect data, but with a realtime cube fund value, prices will be standardised across the board allowing everyone a fairer chance to sell their cube. Hi Admin, Good news and a great idea, but I think the value should be progressively lower to make higher value cubes less expensive and more atractive, like -1% per 1000 CF. 2014-11-21 at 16:40:25 |
